Office hours are scheduled from 3pm-5pm at the CEI Lab Force downtown in conjunction with Venture Café Thursday Gatherings that begin at 5pm. Office Hours Registration is limited to 4 individuals total and specific time slots to meet with these professionals will be assigned after registration. Mitchell works as an Acquisition Strategist for Long Capture, where he assists high-tech startups in transitioning and adapting their commercial technology to the Department of Defense through both the SBIR/STTR program and through Other Transactions (OTs). He has personally helped over 60 clients achieve government funding to get their innovative technology to the warfighter in his 3 years of experience in this sector. Prior to his work at Long Capture, Mitchell worked hands-on in the field for four years active duty as a Contracting Officer in the US Air Force. This experience allowed him to get a better context of the end-user aspect of transactions so that he could better understand the needs of the DoD.

In addition to his work at Long Capture, Mitchell works on his own startup, Boemin, with continued efforts to establish product-market fit. Boemin's first product is a personalized Fitness Accountability system designed to prevent workout & diet inconsistency. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Management from Texas Christian University. He is happy to discuss the SBIR/STTR program with any startups interested and explain how this program can be leveraged to both earn non-dilutive funding and to get your foot in the Federal sales door.
