Clair Wells is the recipient of the IKA Unlimited Potential Award in Electrochemistry. She is originally from Glendale, Arizona, and moved to Tempe to pursue her BS degree in Biochemistry from Arizona State University. While attending ASU, she developed a passion for organic chemistry and an interest in natural product synthesis. Her newly added passion for biocatalysis and sustainable synthesis has her currently working toward high-throughput biocatalyst discovery. Clare is a part of a service sorority, Omega Phi Alpha. In her free time, she enjoys antiquing, crocheting, and reading.
