Heather is the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of Learning Futures and Lead Design Architect, Next-Generation Learning at Arizona State University. Learning Futures imagines learning three to five years in the future and employs approximately 70 students to create proofs of concept (POCs) and minimum viable products (MVPs) to get to that future vision.
Before joining ASU, Heather served in leadership roles at UPenn, Northwestern, and Columbia University fostering innovation in learning through the creation of new centers, programs, communities of practice, and learning experiences. She has presented at national and international conferences and events around the world on learning innovation/futures, immersive learning, digital credentials/skills development, giving feedback, learning design, and program development. Heather holds a Bachelor of Philosophy from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
