Kyle serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Patent Counsel at Skysong Innovations, the specialized technology commercialization organization for ASU. Kyle shepherds and supports an interdisciplinary team that advances ASU’s mission by translating ASU innovations into the market through intellectual property protection, licensing, and spinout activities.

Prior to joining Skysong Innovations, Kyle worked at a leading law firm where he helped clients identify, secure, and enforce all types of intellectual property rights, including those rooted in patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and rights of publicity. Kyle's patent clients have ranged from tech startups to Fortune 500 companies in a variety of fields, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, computer technologies, wearables, fuel cells, firearms, mixed-media products, and consumer goods. Before practicing law, Kyle served as a regulatory affairs specialist for a global medical device company.

Kyle holds a law degree, magna cum laude, from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. He also holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Southern California.
