Dr. Sehra is an accomplished MedTech executive with extensive experience in early (private), mid (public), and late stage (acquisition) medical device companies. Dr. Sehra currently serves as the CEO and President of Resonea Inc., which was founded in 2016. Prior to starting Resonea, he applied his extensive executive leadership to Kyphon. The largest medical device start-up acquisition at $4.2 Billion. At Abbott Electrophysiology, he served as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), joining Abbott through the acquisition of Topera, Inc., ($250M+) a company which he co-founded. Topera was a venture backed medical device company that developed an innovative state of the art 3-D analysis and mapping system that, for the first time ever, identified the electrical source of complex cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Sehra is highly skilled in evaluating life science companies venture capital and private equity investors. He has held many executive positions with a number of medical device companies in the areas of stroke, spinal disease, heart rhythm disorders, interventional cardiology and neuroradiology. Before working in the medical technology industry, Dr. Sehra was Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at Loma Linda University where he practiced full time electrophysiology and was Director of Business Operations for an 85-physician practice.
Dr. Sehra received his B.A. from Wabash College and his M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine. He also received an MBA from the University of California, Irvine. He is currently an Adjunct Professor with the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering at Arizona State University.
He is also a named inventor on approximately 100 issued patents worldwide.
