How did you hear about Venture Café?
I first heard of Venture Café through the team at ASU and the HEALab program. Through conversations with colleagues, we were discussing the Life Sciences and Healthcare market spaces with Haskell.
What does Venture Café Phoenix mean to you?
Venture Café Phoenix to me, means innovation and exploration. I feel that Venture Café Phoenix offers innovators, organizations, and researchers a unique ability to collaborate in an open-minded and supportive environment. So much innovation can happen in a proper community, and Venture Café Phoenix offers that to everyone who comes to interact together.
Have you had any memorable connections at Venture Café Phoenix?
I was recently able to be a mentor to review several healthcare-related projects that new innovators are trying to develop. Those relationships, while only 15 minutes to start, have become ongoing connections that we are continuing to engage and encourage each other with support and relationship building.
Tell us a little more about your current Company/project.
Haskell is a national architectural, engineering, construction, and consulting company that provides services in the healthcare and life sciences spaces, as well as other markets. Our company work with hospitals, health systems, manufacturers, and universities to advise, design, and build spaces that support the work of providing healthcare (i.e. hospitals, medical office buildings, ambulatory facilities, etc.) and health-related facilities (i.e. pharmaceutical plants, research laboratories, medical device manufacturing facilities, etc.).
Can you discuss your experience at Venture Café Phoenix and any impact the event has had on your organization?
Venture Café Phoenix has provided Haskell with an opportunity to share about our projects and advisory programs to advance innovation within healthcare and life sciences. Collaborating with members of Venture Café Phoenix and connecting them to our clients and partners bring a unique opportunity that did not exist without our affiliation and connections made through VCP.
