She is the founder of Expo and Events LLC and has provided a substantial amount of support to Venture Café Phoenix and our audience. While event management is her expertise, she also has a passion for supporting our youth population here in Phoenix and is an active volunteer for the Swift Youth Foundation. How did you hear about Venture Café?
I learned about Venture Café from Alex Koupal, who is the Experience and Event Designer for VC. I have known Alex for over 10 years, and know that anything that Alex supports will be top-notch
What does Venture Café Phoenix mean to you?
I have always enjoyed helping to build connections between people and communities, especially in Tech. VC has helped connect innovators, and I am excited to be a part of that experience. The energy at the Thursday gatherings is palpable. Each event leaves me feeling energized and inspired, and I always take away some information that will help me grow as a first-time business owner.
Have you had any memorable connections at Venture Café Phoenix?
At a recent Venture Café, I was lucky enough to have a friend join me who manages the stroke program for a local hospital. I introduced her to one of the VC Ambassadors that is involved in digital marketing and is also passionate about stroke care. I am excited to see what develops from this potential connection!
What is Expo and Events LLC?
I recently launched Expo and Events LLC, a third party event management company that primarily focuses on supporting show organizers, exhibitors and sponsors with their tradeshow and conference needs. I have worked in Event Operations for over 20 years in the tradeshow industry, focusing on events in Tech, Natural Products, Healthcare and more.
Can you discuss your experience at Venture Café and any impact the event has had on your organization?
I have participated in a few Venture Cafés, and the one that has made the most impact for me focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in STEM. This topic is very near to my heart, so I was thankful to have the opportunity to meet with some incredible individuals who are making an impact in their organizations and community. As a volunteer at the Swift Youth Foundation, I am passionate about providing opportunities to our local Phoenix youth, and I am excited that some of the connections I have made at VC may be able to provide support to this wonderful organization.
Any final thoughts on Venture Café Phoenix?
I am excited to continue to be a part of the innovation community within Phoenix, and I am looking forward to the exciting line up of programs in the upcoming months.
