Have you had any memorable connections at Venture Café Phoenix? If so, please tell us how you met them, who they are and how they have impacted you and your organization?
Really too many to list… Venture Café is the best place in Phoenix to forge meaningful relationships with other business owners, founders, investors, and entrepreneurs.

What inspires you?
Working with people to see their dreams come true. Entrepreneurs are those that stand outside any norm. They are special to work with. We enjoy seeing the dreamers realize their dreams.

Tell us a little more about your current role with your organization and how it has impacted the start-up ecosystem here in the greater Phoenix region.
My role within my organization is relationship development both internally and externally. I work closely with my Director of Recruiting to improve processes and increase the success rate of our recruiting team and the candidates that they are helping to find employment. Externally I am seeking new clients through networking and business development activities. As a founder I must make sure I am spending time working on the business and in the business. I find this to be a delicate balance that I am still perfecting. Technical Talent Group has been able to help multiple start up companies in Venture Cafe to talk through hiring strategies and where to spend money and what to be weary of doing. During my career I have seen many start ups spend too much on initial hiring. Also, I am on the advisory board for Kris Saunders for his EV start-up. Overall my goal is to invite as many people as possible to Venture Cafe, every week I attend I learn something new and I try to contribute something new.

Can you discuss your experience at Venture Café Phoenix and any impact the event has had on your organization?
I always enjoy coming to Venture Cafe. It’s a regular part of my routine each week. VC makes it easy to see all of my friends in one place while also making new relationships.

I feel lucky to have found Venture Cafe. In a matter of 13 weeks I have made more new connections in industries I normally would not interact with. These confections have led to new business opportunities and new friendships. The spirit of the group is unique in that everyone is truly out to help each other, it is not a sales first networking event.
