Hermann Plank is inviting us on a trip through the metaverse or rather several virtual worlds across multiple industries. As part of the VENTURE CAFÉ PHOENIX Emerging Technology Summer Bootcamp for non-tech Entrepreneurs he is conducting 2 lectures from the basics of blockchain, digital twins, NFTs and smart contracts to demonstrating on several case studies of virtual worlds, how you can monetize the fast-growing Web3 environment and apply it to your business.
How did you hear about Venture Café Phoenix?
I was invited by Melissa Lamson to give a presentation on one of my projects: The Fashion Metaverse and I was excited to be invited again as a speaker during the Emerging Tech Summer Bootcamp.
What does Venture Café Phoenix mean to you?
It is way more than the other so called networking events, featuring high caliber speakers with relevant topics and most importantly a very sophisticated audience, it makes it worth attending and networking. Great support staff!
Have you had any memorable connections at Venture Café Phoenix? If so, please tell us how you met them, who they are and how they have impacted you and your organization?
I intensified some of my contacts I made during my first presentation and am now working already with one client, who was in attendance on a Web3 project.
What is your organization and what does it do?
METAXFASHION Inc. was founded by serial entrepreneur Brendan Gage and myself in 2022 – METAXFASHION is the first dApp (Decentralized Application) and the bridge to the Fashion Metaverse. We provide fashion brands and designers with the necessary training and web3 tools (NFTs, digital fashion design and digital twins, virtual as well as mixed reality runway shows) to be ready to succeed in the fast-growing digital world. Based on this template we have now created several new virtual worlds in other industries including a virtual art gallery where the visitors are able to enjoy the immersive experience in the metaverse and purchase both NFTs and the real paintings.
Can you discuss your experience at Venture Café Phoenix and any impact the event has had on your organization?
Best networking experience in terms of topics, audience, and audience engagement ever! The vivid discussions during my sessions and afterwards during the networking gave me several great ideas to add additional services to our Web3 portfolio.
Any final thoughs on Venture Café Phoenix?
I look forward to attending again in the coming year, as I firmly believe it is the best networking event in Phoenix. Keep up the great work.
