Meet Lucas Petty

Meet Lucas Petty

Written by Tom Kelly

An early adopter of Artificial Intelligence, Lucas Petty was struck by AI’s unique ability to improve life, and especially business results. A passionate advocate, he founded AI Daddy to educate and inspire others about AI’s potential when properly deployed. Audiences, both eager and fearful, describe his talks as “deeply relevant, moving and actionable.”

From frequent lecturer and viral influencer, Lucas quickly became a go-to resource for those who recognize the imperative of embracing innovation. Leveraging nearly a decade as an operations consultant, Lucas now helps organizations prepare for a world transformed by AI.

At the heart of his AI Daddy approach is a process mapping methodology that identifies a company’s biggest inefficiencies and pain points, leading to a targeted implementation of AI by the people inside the company who know it best. His client list includes Adobe, Semrush, and Jasper as well as non-profits looking to preserve and expand their mission.

For Lucas and AI Daddy, their measure of success is not only what AI can do for organizations, but individuals – helping people reclaim their freedom, express their creativity, and end the day fulfilled by their work. Or as Lucas says, his job is just to make life easier. Like any good daddy.

How did you hear about Venture Café?
My wife was on the programming committee when it first started.

Have you had any memorable connections at Venture Café Phoenix? If so, please tell us how you met them, who they are and how they have impacted you and your organization?

I met both Kevin Mead and Forbes Shannon at VC. They’ve both turned into incredible friendships. Forbes helped me develop my speaking abilities through improv. Kevin is great to talk about business with and a great connector. I’ve met a lot of quality people through him.

What inspires you?

Kind people. Art. and new technology.

Tell us a little more about your current role with your organization and how it has impacted the start-up ecosystem here in the greater Phoenix region.

I’m the CEO of AI Daddy. I’ve spoken to Start up AZ and other local start up accelerators on how to leverage AI in their organizations no matter the size. I’ve also helped the start-up ecosystem by bringing founders together on a regular poker night.
