Meet Catherine Pierce

Managing Director – Networked Live

Written by Tom Kelly

After being a stay at home mom and caregiver to her mother-in-law during the final 5 years of her life Catherine decided to embark on a new career. In 2018, she became the CEO of 3P&T Security Recruiting, and in 2021, she stepped into co-ownership and Managing Director at Networked Live.

In 2024, she stepped into the Director of Operations role for Caliber Security Partners. She loves helping others grow both personally and professionally. Her journey from being a stay-at-home mom and caregiver to entering the business world required me to make a massive shift, not just from one field to another but also a mental shift so that she could successfully make the transition.

Catherine is also a speaker and trainer. She helps women in their journey to transition from where they are now to where they want to be. Helping women realize that where they are now doesn’t have to be their final destination is a joy to her. Often, the biggest hurdle is believing that you can and taking the actions necessary to accomplish what you want. She living proof of this. Many Fortune 500 and Enterprise businesses look at her as the cyber security resourcing leader.

Her mission is to help everyone, but especially women, maximize what they can control and reach the career aspirations they’ve always dreamed of.

Tell us a little more about your current role with your organization and how it has impacted the start-up ecosystem here in the greater Phoenix region?
My husband and I work together in our organization to bring business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals together to collaborate, gain visibility and to grow both personally and professionally. We host monthly mixers to help people build relationships with like-minded professionals. We offer a membership program that offers several opportunities each month for networking, training and mentorship. We also host conferences with speakers who have walked the start-up/entrepreneural path that share their insights and experiences to help others on their journey.

Tell us about the people, mentors, etc that have helped you along the way.

My husband, Tab Pierce has been the biggest influence and has made the most impact in my professional journey. Others have been Naveen Jain, Jaime Kern Lima, Chris Carlisle and so many more.

Biggest Successes/Most Fulfilling Moments

The most fulfilling moments happen when I can help others accomplish their goals. I do that by helping them recognize their limiting beliefs, set themselves up for inevitable success, and build upon those successes so they become unstoppable.
Seeing the progress and impact that others are making (or have made) inspires me to help others pursue their dreams. The only thing that holds us back is ourselves. The sooner we can get out of our own way, the sooner we will make the impact that we want to make in our lives and the lives of others.

Have you had any memorable connections at Venture Café Phoenix? If so, please tell us how you met them, who they are and how they have impacted you and your organization/company.

I’ve attended a couple of events at Venture Cafe Phoenix and met some great contacts. Paige Hanson is one them!

Advice to Aspiring Entrepreneurs and People Looking for their Passion

Surround yourself with others who are successful and are accomplishing their goals. Be teachable and learn from their experiences and mentorship. And be willing to help others that are just starting out or are looking for their passion. Offer to be a mentor to them.
