Shun Ono is an entrepreneur and ecosystem builder with a global career spanning the United States, Japan, and Europe. After graduating from Temple University with a concentration in law, he began in New York City at a Fortune 500 company, where he expanded the firm’s automotive footprint across the U.S. and helped establish its aerospace trading business. Moving to the West Coast, he led a fabrication initiative for the construction industry, giving him a true coast-to-coast perspective on American industry. He later shifted into the startup world, first as Japan Country Manager for a renewable energy venture focused on biomass, executing projects in Fukushima after the disaster. He then joined a biotech startup in Switzerland, where he developed a go-to-market strategy introducing archaea-bacteria-based feed additives into Japan’s livestock industry. Now based in Fukuoka, Shun has co-founded a joint venture in flour milling and process optimization, while also supporting startups through accelerator and ecosystem programs in collaboration with Fukuoka City. Drawing on his wide breadth of experience — from Fortune 500 firms to frontier startups — he helps founders start locally and scale globally.
