I’m Taylor Owen, the founder of Galago, a SaaS Development Agency dedicated to startups. Born in Canada and raised under the sunny skies of Phoenix, Arizona, my journey in tech has always been fueled by a deep passion for everything SaaS-related. My enthusiasm for SaaS is not just a part of my career; it’s a core part of who I am, and I relish the opportunity to share this passion with fellow enthusiasts in the field.

How did you hear about Venture Cafe Phoenix?

I first learned about Venture Cafe on LinkedIn. I saw the weekly post and felt like I need to be a part of it.

Have you had any memorable connections at Venture Café Phoenix? If so, please tell us how you met them, who they are and how they have impacted you and your organization?

One of the highlights of my weekly volunteering at Venture Cafe is the opportunity to greet everyone who comes in. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the palpable excitement and energy that each person brings, fostering a vibrant community of innovators and entrepreneurs. This regular interaction not only keeps me connected to the community but also continually fuels my own enthusiasm and passion for the industry.

What inspires you?

What truly inspires me is witnessing people who are deeply obsessed with the pursuit of perfection and improvement. I’m fascinated by individuals who dedicate themselves tirelessly to refining their craft, always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. This relentless drive resonates deeply with my own ethos. I live my life guided by the constant question, “What is my Delta?” – seeking to identify and bridge the gap between where I am and where I could be. This philosophy not only propels my personal and professional growth but also ignites my passion to innovate and excel in everything I do.

Tell us a little more about your current role with your organization and how it has impacted the start-up ecosystem here in the greater Phoenix region.

In my current role as the Founder of Galago, I am deeply involved in creating SaaS applications specifically designed to elevate startups. Our impact on the startup ecosystem in the greater Phoenix region is significant. By working closely with each startup, we guide them towards achieving product-market fit and subsequent growth phases. This process doesn’t just help individual companies; it generates a ripple effect across the region.

Our collaboration with these startups leads to innovation, job creation, and the fostering of a vibrant tech community in Phoenix. By providing tailored SaaS solutions, we empower these startups to realize their potential, thereby contributing to the overall dynamism and growth of the local economy. Our role in this ecosystem is not just about developing software; it’s about building the foundation for a thriving, innovative community that continues to attract more talent and investment to the Phoenix area.
